Accessibility and Reasonable Adjustments

Version 1.2Effective from publicationUpdated 29 September 2026

KAIROS-K LTD aims to make the competition accessible and will consider reasonable adjustments so that a disabled person is not placed at a substantial disadvantage.

How to request an adjustment

Email office@kairos-k-practice.com as early as possible with your name, candidate ID if issued, the affected stage, the barrier you experience and the adjustment you believe would help. You do not need to disclose more medical information than is reasonably necessary.

Examples

  • Additional time or rest breaks.
  • Screen-reader compatible or enlarged materials.
  • Captions, transcript or communication support.
  • Alternative input method or accessible document format.
  • Adjusted lighting, seating or camera arrangement.
  • An accessible venue or modified check-in process.
  • A rescheduled slot where justified and fairness permits.

Assessment and privacy

Requests are considered individually, proportionately and confidentially. Health information may be special-category data and will normally be processed with explicit consent unless another lawful condition applies.

Sintegrum YouTube and website barriers

If any page, Google Form (including the Stage 1 test), Sintegrum activity, Zoom consultation, finalist video or document is difficult to use, identify the content, device or assistive technology involved and the format you need. Where a third-party feature cannot be made accessible promptly, the organiser will consider an equivalent accessible route that preserves task integrity and fairness.

Challenging a decision

A candidate may use the Complaints Reviews and Appeals Procedure if they believe a request was not considered fairly or an agreed adjustment was not implemented.
